ELDOA exercises have proven to be highly beneficial in tackling acute back pain and spinal related injuries. Dr. Guy Voyer developed an ELDOA exercise for every articulation in the spine — starting at the base of the skull and ending with the sacro-illiac joint. This means a disc compression existing at any level of the spine can be specifically targeted and decompressed (“opened up”). Since virtually every function in our body relies on nervous system impulses from our spine, it’s crucial to actively preserve and restore the condition of the spine in order to achieve and maintain optimal health.
Our experts will guide you through each exercise so that you can learn and perfect the ELDOA techniques that are customized to address each students individual well-being.
Myofascial stretching utilizes the Complexity model of fascial anatomy to specifically apply tension to the myofascia. The fascia, or connective tissue, is omnipresent in the body binding muscles, ligaments, tendons and blood vessels. Athletic injuries often result in the fascia contracting and tightening, leading to pain, inflammation and problems with the impacted area.
Though a combination of stretches, active elongation, correct breathing, focus and other techniques, the fascia can be effectively released to resolve issues around the impacted area. Learning and perfecting these techniques can offer significant relief and long-term benefits for anyone suffering from an existing condition or trying to prevent future injury.
